For the safety of your pet and other pets, all dogs must be on leashes and well controlled ,and cats must be in carriers when entering the lobby. We understand that some dogs are not social butterflies. If your dog does not do well around other dogs or people, please call from the parking lot. We will have you wait in your vehicle until we have an exam room ready so you do not have to wait in the lobby with your dog.
No Show and Same Day Cancellation Policy
Being a small practice, we are limited in the number of appointments we can offer in a day. When we get no-shows and last minute cancellations, we lose the ability to give that appointment slot to a sick or injured pet who had to schedule for later in the week. To help reduce this from happening, there will be a fee added to your account if you no show for an appointment or call the day of the appointment to cancel.
Zero Tolerance for Negative Behavior
It saddens us to even have to post this as a policy. However, we are officially stating that our clinic has a Zero Tolerance policy for aggressive or negative behavior toward our staff by clients. We are all here working hard to provide the best care for your pets. We understand that we are human and sometimes mistakes and miscommunications occur. If you ever feel that something has been missed or a mistake has been made, please calmly bring it to our attention and we will do everything possible to make it right. We truly value and appreciate all of our clients and their pets. If as a client, you choose to bring this to our attention by way of yelling, berating or threatening the staff, you will be asked to find a new veterinary clinic to care for your pet.
Third Party Pharmacy Policy
There are many online companies offering pet pharmacy services. Many of these have been caught selling counterfeit products or potentially unsafe products not obtained from the manufacturers. Often there is no traceability of where these products originated or whether or not they have been properly stored while in storage/transit. We will only work with local pharmacies, trusted compounding pharmacies and the online pharmacy available through our distributor consolidation group offered by the AVMA to ensure that only safe products are dispensed to your pets.
Health Related Policies
At this time, we are allowing clients to be present for their pet's exam. Due to the small size of our exam rooms, if we experience times of high cold/flu/Covid infections locally, we will revert to limiting appointments to one pet owner per exam room. We ask that you please consider rescheduling appointments if you are ill with fever and/or respiratory symptoms. Any one displaying respiratory signs in the clinic may be asked to wear a mask or revert to a curbside appointment. We are always happy to offer curbside appointments for clients who wish to limit their contact for health reasons.
